Here's just a few of our favorite excursions to explore in the real Costa Rica. You can book these yourself or our Guest Host can make the arrangements for you at no extra charge. The Host will meet you at the property when you check in and provide contact info.
Take a plunge in one of the many waterfalls in the area. Most are easily accessible by car, a few can be only be seen on foot or horseback. Uvita, Ojochal and Punta Mala all have waterfalls easy to get to.
Located only 5 minutes south of us Osa Canopy Tours boasts the longest zipline in Costa Rica. This tour has platforms nested high up in the trees on the Southern rainforest and has the friendliest crew to guide you through the jungle.
The Souther zone is also known for what water rafting. From beginner to expert we have the rivers that will give you the ride of your life. The guys at Domincal Surf Adventures provide the complete package and all skill levels.
If rappelling down a rushing waterfall is your thing Costa Canyoning has you covered. Very professional crew.
Dominical is just 30 minutes from us and is host to many surfing competitions. This is also the only local beach with on duty life guards. Too many surf schools and rental shops to count in this beach front town. Playa Hermosa 5 minutes closer has breaks as well.
There are many guide services that launch from the river town of Sierpe, about 20 minutes from the property. You then take a 35 minute ride up the Sierpe river to the mouth of the Pacific ocean. You'll see and abundance of wildlife on the way through the mangroves.

We have 13 beaches within 30 minutes of the property. The nearest beach is Playa Tortuga where nesting turtles can be seen. Playa Ventanas is a picturesque beach that has caves to be explored. Playa Uvita is home to the famous Whales Tail. Every beach is different so you'll find your favorite...eventually.
Jungle Adventure Motorsports rents out both quads and side by side ATVs like our here. They have awesome guided treks with several possible destinations. Our favorite being a private waterfall..
Launching from Sierpe, roughly a 20 minute drive from our property, Sierpe Outfitters has daily diving trips to Caño Island. This ia a spectacular place to both scuba and snorkel. Trip includes lunch on the island and free time to explore the Pre Columbian ruins.
From July to December humpback whales can be seen migrating thru the Osa area. The absolute best times for a whale watching tour would be September and October. The tours offered by Dolphin Tour in Uvita are the best.
Kokopelli Mangrove tours leave from the river town of Sierpe less than 20 minutes away. This guided tour through the mangroves is really an eye opening experience. The abundance of life in this ecosystem is astonishing. Ask for a boat with the canopy cover.
Costa Rica is most well known for it's abundance of wildlife species. Get a guided tour with a nature expert to really see what makes this place so special. Two national parks Corcovado and Manual Antonio both have expert guide services. Hacienda Baru which is just 35 minutes north of the property also has a nature preserve to explore.
